Lesson notes 11th November: Communicative writing activities

According to the CEFRLs there are 3 types of communicative writing activities:

The level of writing practice goes from lexis to sentences and paragraph, and the expectation goes from accuracy to fluency.

·         Production: The child makes his own text.
-          Write the words (drawings) + spelling + crosswords + soup words.
-          Complete the sentences (close text)
-          Look and write sentences.
-          Complete the table (personal)
-          Write sentences using visuals “My Food Diary”
-          Complete the text with picture-gram
-          Write a scary story (fill in the blanks)
-          Read, draw and write (project work)
-          Correct the sentences on the blackboard and write your own answers in this box.

·         Interaction: the child interacts with the information or with his classmate.
-          Identify characters (A: who´s this? B: This is Sam)
-          Match and write.
-          Find and write.
-          Answer the questions
-          Read and write.
-          Complete the dialogues (A: ….. B: My name is George)
-          Make questions to answers.
-          Interview five partners and write their answers.

·         Mediation: the child, the read and what the child writes interact all together.
-          Transform and write the sentences.
-          Re-arrange words to create a sentence.
-          Complete your classmate´s likes, dislikes… and write
-          Make questions with this information.
-          Make a graph…
-          Make sentences with frequency
-          Write a text about Peter´s timetable (write with tables + write the visual comic to your partner)
-          A and B are talking, C transcribes what they talk

-          Write a text about Peter´s timetable. Use the word in the box.
